Covid-19
We have a separate handbook that details our approach to infection control here. We continue to risk assess regularly (inline with government guidance). Here are some of the frequent questions we have:
Will my child be outside?
Yes! We are operating a fully outdoor programme.
Does my child have to socially distance?
We cannot and should not physically distance young children. Our young children need physical contact with their peers and the adults caring for them. They need relationships without restrictions which are unachievable for their stage of development, especially while they settle into a place - however familiar - without you there.
Being outside minimizes the risk of Covid-19 infection chains, but does not completely remove the risk. We have handwashing routines in place, and encourage children to Catch it, Bin it, Kill it. Please only bring your child to NOK if they are well. If in doubt, please keep them at home.
You can help your child by showing them how to wash their hands carefully.
